Blackened Night
Ran all thru my head
Feel pains of death
Nothing shall remain as once laid
For all things come to their ends
Well for I one day shall look back upon my life
What will I find in memories of struggle and strife
Happiness abound, or gripping sadness within
Which will be stronger in the ends of days
Heartwrenching sadness cutting deep beneath skins
All trust above friends completely revoked
How to find someone if uncertainty dreads
With lingering doubts of worth after all is done
To find me once more in the sea of uncharted dreams
Is lost on where to begin the journey searching
Upon this rubble of a past no more to be
Leaves a life once planned in pieces
With me I am lost with which way to direct my wanderings
Uncharted paths before me with no sight to choose
To find that which hath been proven unworthy
The second half of my being gone missing all so long
The game of waiting with patience thru and thru
Something once easy to do when nigh as important
Now eats my dreams as small experience granted
Now craved for continuously more
Signs seem everywhere but not to appear for me
As life slowly unfolds to reveal what’s in store to remain
To the man with high standards and unfaultering commitment
So seems shall he be for great partings of self
For I walk this road of twists, turns, and cliffs of death
Alone with me thoughts roaming free within
Always churning, constantly burning, yearning
To be whole once more in this life of strife
With constant dreams ruling my nights
And waking wishes of completeness
I am lost upon to continue to wander
And to become the constant
As from now to be trapped in circles
Running all thru my head
With no end in sight
Not even for this blackened night
