Swirling Numbness

Alone to sit in thoughts
Unable to be checked
With clear feelings
The body too familiar
With sensations numbed

Experience all around
In new ways not done
As it creeps slowly
The numbness growing
With each passing moment

Nothing new to feel now
They’ve been around before
Run as I may they still creep
From hidden caves below
How to make them leave, lost

Random songs come on slowly
Yet none seem to fit moods
Uplifting, head to heals love
Is far from wishes left
Of darkness and hell’s felt

Alone to waken slumber
Arms empty as surroundings
Swirl from one to another
Left to search for one
Without guidance from another

In the swirling numbness
Of my own little hell
