A Dream

As I sit and stare
Out the window of my mind,
I’m swept away to a place
So far from this reality I face.

There’s no more headache’s,
Heartache’s and never knowing;
Just peace, quiet and an
Unyielding love

Catch a glimpse towards a yard
Of fun laughter with dogs
As the kids hang on

See the sweet little girl
Discover the world
One leaf at a time
The older children so glad
Of the turn around

As I look out through
This fantasy window,
I’m reminded of doubt
That this may never happen

But tonight as I dream
Of those moments,
Every bone in my body
Aches for to be reality

Before I can wake,
Prosper the shapes,
I feel the need to SCREAM!
God damn I hate this dream…
